Biography
Dr. Zhang is currently Chair of the Department of Statistics. He received his Ph.D. in statistics from the University of Alberta. His research interests cover a wide range of topics which include general statistical methodology, empirical Bayes data analysis, bioinformatics, large scale multiple hypothesis testing and its application to genomics, statistical methods related to influenza virus genotyping and developing computationally intensive algorithms for analyzing biological and health survey data and big data analytics.
